112 Years of
American Manufacturing

Our material expertise and machining capabilities ensure components perform under the most demanding conditions. From ITAR-certified defense tooling to high-volume commercial stamping dies, we bring both the manufacturing capability and the engineering knowledge to optimize your production process.

History

History

History

In 1913, when the Wright Brothers were still perfecting flight, Louis Brinkman opened his shop in Dayton, Ohio. We've been manufacturing precision components in the birthplace of aviation through World War II, the Space Race, and over a century of technological evolution. That longevity is the result of quality work, trusted relationships, and adapting while maintaining uncompromising standards.
Vertical turning lathes are specialized and require skilled operators who know how to run them. This gives us the capability to machine large-diameter, complex cylindrical components that other hops have to turn away or outsource. If your project requires vertical lathe work, you've likely lready discovered how few options exist.
Ground support equipment for aerospace and defense requires specialized knowledge of the operational environment and the exacting standards these systems demand. We manufacture GSE components built to withstand the harshest conditions while meeting the safety and performance requirements that keep aircraft mission-ready.
Power generation systems operate under extreme stress, including high temperatures, constant load, and demanding performance requirements. We manufacture precision components for turbines, generators, and power systems. Our material expertise and machining capabilities ensure components perform under the most demanding conditions.
We've been designing and manufacturing tooling since 1913. Over 110 ears of expertise means we've olved tooling challenges most shops have ever encountered. From ITAR-certified defense tooling to igh-volume ommercial stamping dies, we bring both the manufacturing capability and he engineering nowledge to optimize your production process.

From the Birthplace of Aviation…

From the History Of Aerospace Manufacturing

When the Wright Brothers were still refining powered flight just miles from here, Louis G. Brinkman opened a tool and die shop in Dayton, Ohio. What started as a small operation built on honesty, integrity, and quality would span four generations and over a century of American manufacturing.
...........

We were there when America needed precision parts to win World War II. We manufactured components during Vietnam when aerospace technology advanced rapidly. We adapted when the Space Race demanded tolerances measured in microns. We manufactured components for the commercial jets that made air travel accessible to the world. And we're still here, in Dayton, still family-owned in spirit, still building the parts that power whatever comes next.
.
Four generations of the Brinkman family maintained this shop through wars, recessions, and technological revolutions, each generation building on the foundation Louis established. The tools have changed. Manual lathes gave way to CNC machines. Pencil drawings became CAD workstations. But the principles haven't: deliver quality, keep your word, and build things that last.

.

To the Future Of Aerospace Manufacturing

.

Today, as Brinkman Aero, we're invested in the capabilities that make us indispensable to aerospace and defense contractors: vertical turning lathes, ground support equipment manufacturing, power generation expertise, and advanced tooling capabilities.

.

We're compensating our machinists 20% above market rates to attract and retain the best talent. We're upgrading equipment. We're implementing operational systems that make us the sole choice for specialized aerospace work.

.

This is where we're going: becoming the aerospace manufacturing partner that contractors turn to when they need capabilities nobody else has. Four generations built this foundation. Now we're building the next 112 years.

HONORING LEGACY

Meet The Leadership Team

Leaders who understand manufacturing from the ground up because they learned it on shop floors.

MARK HESTON

Chief Executive Officer

Mark Heston started as a CNC machinist, giving him hands-on insight into what it takes to manufacture precision aerospace components.

Over 15+ years in aerospace supply chain and operations, he served as CEO of Victoria Aerospace and held leadership roles at NMG Aerospace and Safran Electrical & Power.

A Northeast Ohio native, Mark has built and operated multiple AS9100 Tier 1 facilities, focusing on operational performance, profitability, and strategic growth.

Today, Mark leads Brinkman Aero's evolution into a specialized aerospace manufacturing platform by investing in capabilities like vertical lathes, and advanced tooling that will define the company's next chapter.
